Raiders Herald "Pre-Season rolling around"

The Mcafee Coliseum is expected to be filled to its brim for the majority of the season, but one game in particular strikes the eyes of Raiders fans all across Oakland, the first pre-season game for the Raiders, against the Cards. These two have been going at it all off-season and it Im sure that the refs will have their hands full dealing with these two teams. The increased fued has only grown after a trade was denied involving Antonio Pierce and instead dealt to the Chiefs. I wouldnt be surprised if no Cardinals fans (even the drop dead fans) showed up to the game, the raider nation would surely tear them apart. They say that the autumn wind is a Raider, if thats true, this season is sure to blow a change in the recent rut that the Raiders have been locked in.

Antonio Pierce and the Raiders are a joke...

One so-called "loyal" fan of Raider nation was recently seen dumping his shoulder pads and black-n-silver helmet in the garbage in protest. He was overheard yelling the words, (and I quote) "I cant believe this *bleep*, we have the worst front office in the NFL!!" "How can we deal our top LB to a division rival!!" "Its just plain stupid...so now Im done with this team...time to move to Phoenix and root for a real up and coming team like the Cardinals!" This entire outburst was caught live on home video and sent to all local news broadcasts...

Looks like this rivalry is heating up pretty quickly...

Recent reports of a Raiders fan protesting against his team have turned out to be false, the scam was brought on by a desperate Cardinals fan looking for some attention to be derived towards his team since theyve been left out of the spotlight for the past 20-some years. "It's unbelievable how desperate a team can get when they've been down the drain for so many years" The Raiders GM said after learning about this, to stoop to such a low as to try and persuade other teams fans to join their own home teams is disgraceful. With that being said, Cardinals home game attendance has dropped 20% from five years ago.

The Cardinals GM came back strong with these statements, "How can a team that hasnt seen its glory years since our franchise joined the NFL talk so much garbage?" "There isnt a team in the NFL that can say that our team, at this point, isn't a legitimate contender for the NFC crown!!" "The Raiders franchise is, in my opinion, in utter denial." "I honestly feel sorry for their fan base and would welcome more great fans from the Oakland area to throw on their Red and White and head down to Zona!!"

Man, oh man!! I never thought the Raiders and Cardinals could hate each other so much!! This rivalry is starting to get out of hand!!

After hearing the Cardinals GM's remarks, the Raiders GM had this to say "Its obvious that they picked the wrong person to GM the Cardinals, for wasnt it in 2002 that we made the superbowl? Since then its been rebuilding mode but after this season we've made strong trades and definately improved our team, Chad Johnson and Chad Pennington will be tough to stop and with Deuce in the backfield we'll have an excellent running game, some huge adjustments have been made to the O-line as well with the additions of Brian Waters and Chris Bober, we'll definately be a force to be reconed with. It's too bad that the Cardinals wont, it'll be unfortunate that we wont meet them in the superbowl since they'll never make it with such a mediocre team." Harsh but true words coming from the Raiders GM
