The New England Patriots start CB Asante Samuel has stated he doesn't plan on returning to the team until week 10. The Patriots have to stop being cheap, and pay the guy. He is their best CB without a doubt. How else are they gonnae replace a guy thats gonna get them 10 Interceptions.

samuels is such a nasty cb. pats always seem to know how to ruin a goosd thing, theyll upgrade wr then totally regress in the cb spot its always something

Has Samuel been nearly as much of a problem as Moss or Owens, hes coming off a 10 pick season, is a FA and watched Clements get 80M...he has a reason to want a new contract...if he has the contract he is not a problem what so ever...he has been fine here in NE since he came in as a rookie, all he wants to do is get paid, that wasn't the case with Owens and Moss.

yea... And when Owens was dealt the year after he had 14 TD's, (I realize he played another season but he sat out like 10 games). Compare him to Steve McNair then, Jamal Lewis, etc.

Asante Samuel is in the prime of his career unlike Mcnair and Lewis...again, Branch is a great comparison...both are young players coming off of good seasons with pleanty of great seasons ahead of them who want to be paid more. Owens and Moss had character issues and Mcnair and Lewis were on a downfall in their career so Samuel isn't a good comparison to either of those 4.

Lewis wasnt on the downfall of his career, he had 200 more rushing yards than the year prior and 6 more TD's.....

i agree the branch comparison is much better. its not like hes being a douche. i believe hes still on his rookie contract i think he is a great corner he deserves to be paid just like briggs deserves to be paid.
